Conflict Resolution
About the Course
We’re individuals with unique concerns, expectations, interests, needs and wants. Sooner or later, our individuality bumps up against someone else’s individuality and the result is conflict. One of our goals in running a conflict management skills workshop is to reinforce the fact that life does not exist without conflict. However, there is an aspect of conflict experiences that cannot be overlooked: our behaviour when in a conflict situation. As a result of this workshop, individuals or teams will be able to experience more positive and productive conflict interactions at work and personally and optimize performance, resolve issues, settle differences, and implement solutions at any level.
Course duration: 2 days
For who: Anyone who wants to discover, talk about and address one or more of the five conflict-handling modes.
Course Format
The workshop aims to equip you with new conflict resolution tools and demonstrates how to use the appropriate conflict mode at the right time and for the right situation.
Each participant will complete an assessment using the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) which will allow them to gain awareness about how they handle themselves and others when in conflict, recognize the conflict styles of others and assess conflict situations. Each participant will practice what they learn by using different conflict modes and sharing ideas.
