About the Course 

Like most learned skills, becoming an effective leader takes time, training, practice, and learning through trial and error. Effective leadership development begins with a clear understanding of what leadership is and how to prepare for it. The Leadership Foundation course is based on the fact that everyone has the potential to become a leader, therefore it explores the different ways to acquire the basic and necessary leadership skills and become an effective leader. 

Course duration: 2 days 

For who: Any person, in a leadership position or not, who wants to ensure their organization achieves its most important and critical goals. 

Course Format 

This interactive and experiential workshop is designed to provide you with the basic skills, approaches, and theories to develop your leadership capacity through sharing of knowledge, practice exercises, and reflections.  

Specific Learning Objectives 

Upon completion of this course, participants will: 

• An opportunity to explore and define basic leadership concepts and what makes for an effective leader
• An opportunity for self-assessment and reflection in order to develop your own leadership perspective and assess your motivation to lead 
• An understanding of situational approaches to leadership
• Practical skills, tools and tips for effective leadership that can be transferred back to the workplace
