Hira is a designated Chartered Accountant having extensive experience in Finance, Accounting, Tax and Assurance combined. Coming from one of the Big Four, she is well versed in adding value to businesses through the application of her experience particularly in the areas of financial analysis, business planning, performance measurement and cash flow management.

Her professional career started with Ernst & Young where she gained experience in her field and successfully led audits of clients from different sectors of the industry, afterward, she has worked mainly in the telecom industry. She worked in the finance department of Etisalat Telecom where she was solely responsible for Group and management reporting including key performance indicators to track the overall company performance. In her tenure, she designed new management reports using advanced tools to visually present the results in the best way possible and to facilitate the decision making at the top level. She was also involved in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans.

At Intersol, she has played an active and vital role in the organizational re-structuring, where she melded her technical skills in accounting and finance with her business skills derived from her time in the industry. Right after joining Intersol, she took up the ongoing task of developing a new accounting system. She thoroughly examined the company’s internal set up to identify data flow, controls, automation, and output requirements. She not only designed and implemented the system but also provides training and informal assistance to the users across the company and is continuously working to improve the system to meet changing business needs. She also developed a formal management reporting system specifically curated to meet the information needs of all stakeholders. In addition to this, she actively identifies and pursues any opportunity to improve the current company policies and practices. She compiled a policy manual encompassing all relevant policies for Intersol.

Apart from her knowledge & experience, she excels at establishing business partnerships with internal and external clients/stakeholders and believes in visual storytelling to fulfill the information needs of all business partners.

Hira is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and is currently pursuing CPA Ontario. She is also a member of Communications Committee of ICAP – Canada Chapter.

In her spare time, Hira enjoys spending time with her family & friends.
