An important line from the 1980s hit television sitcom ‘Cheers’ is “You wanna go where everybody knows your name”
I can tell you that getting to know and use peoples’ names is not an option for facilitators – it’s a “must do”
Tent cards can help – a lot – and it’s good to ask people to write their names on both sides, so that the people sitting alongside them can also see the names.
No tent cards? No problem. Just fold any piece of paper in half .
Except that within a couple of minutes the paper will probably collapse.
Still no problem. Fold one corner over (2 is even better) and it will stand up all day.
