About the Course
How to be Clear and Compelling with Data – Principles is designed to help you to understand the advantages of and options for presenting data visually in your reports and briefings. This course starts with the fundamentals of how people perceive data, underlying the principles for presenting data effectively. You will learn how to use those principles to help your audience see what your data says, clearly and immediately.
Course duration: 1 half day
For who: Those who need to decide what kind of data visuals will be most effective or will be required, whether or not they will be doing the actual production of the work, and at those who will be themselves creating data visuals.
This course is delivered using Internet-Based Video Conferencing, specifically Zoom Meetings and also uses web-based collaboration tools that can greatly enhance productivity in an online medium. It takes four hours, with ample time for breaks and discussion. Some preparation will be suggested, so that participants can bring their own examples, to consider and discuss – this is highly suggested in order to get the most out of your course.
This workshop is followed by a second course for those who intend to produce data visuals and reports themselves and want some “hands on” training.
